PayPal Cut - From your donation.

Some of you might have been doing some maths after donating and seeing the update, but notice that if you donated £10 only £9.46 was added to the donation page.

Absolutely not...
Sadly in order for us to collect your money in a safe and secure manner we need to use a good well know provider. PayPal was the choice but sadly they do take a percent from all donations.

How much can i expect to be taken from my donation?
Since this years donation, we can now tell you roughly what PayPal charges, please note for every pound donated the percent taken from PayPal will increase. From the different donations we have received so far this year, we have come up with this chart to hopefully explain the goings on.

Charges as of 2009 - 2010 (PayPal chargings are subject to change)
£05.00 - £-0.37 Total Donation = £4.63 (Checked for 2010 PayPal increase of 3p)
£10.00 - £-0.54 Total Donation = £9.46 (Checked for 2010)
£15.00 - £-0.71 Total Donation = £14.29 (Checked for 2010)
£20.00 - £-0.88 Total Donation = £19.12 (Checked for 2010)
£25.00 - £-1.05 Total Donation = £23.95 (Checked for 2010)
£30.00 - £-1.22 Total Donation = £28.78 (Checked for 2010)
£40.00 - £-1.56 Total Donation = £38.44 (Checked for 2010)
£60.00 - £-2.24 Total Donation = £57.76 (Checked for 2010)
£115.00 = £-4.11 Total Donation = £110.89 (Checked for 2009 to be confirmed for 2010)
