This guide will help you understand how the Private Message system or “PM” for short works.
On the forum main page is an indication that you may have received a PM. This can look different depending on the circumstances and the setting you have setup in your control panel, so the final outcome of notification could look different. We will attempt to show you all those views.
Here are 3 notifications of a new private message that, depending on your setting should all happen at the same time.
First Notification of a Private Message is a pop up (Depending on your settings)

Second notification of a Private Message is a block warning.

Third notification of a Private Message is a inline link change.

Sometimes you may not notice those warnings if you are quick on the clicking of links or buttons, but there are other signs to look for that a message was received but you have not yet read it, as the examples below will indicate.

If you do not click on the new message warning link then the forum will show as you have new message at least until you have clicked on the link.
Sometimes however you may receive more than one message and you might think that you have read all those messages but accidently forget to read one. Not to worry, the forum will tell you that you have missed one by changing the link title as shown in the image below:

Now it is best to think of this messaging system more along the lines of Outlook Express or Thunderbird, or other e-mail clients out there.
The idea of this is to give you much more controls over how you write and send e-mails. For example before you had to copy the message and then paste multiple times to everyone you wanted to send it to.
Well now you don’t, this new system now allows you to send one message to multiple people in one click of a button; also you can mass reply which helps keeps everyone informed on what is happening.

Looking at the image above you can see the indications on read and unread messages.
If you have any questions on how to use this please let us know and we will do our best to help you understand the system and also place an FAQ diagram for others who might also have issues on using this system.
